These mounts from BFI are made of polyurethane, 85A in shore hardness. Stage 1 mounts offer a higher level of performance over the Stage .5 kit.
Black Forest Industries developed these motor mounts for enthusiasts who are willing to give up some degree of comfort for some added performance. BFI states that the Stage 1 mounts still offer a good ride quality, though there are some increased vibrations over OEM mounts.
Upgraded hardware is included with all motor mounts.

Installation:
Gave it a 3. All you need is a jack, a set of jack stands, and basic hand tools that come in a generic tool kit. Also, some PB Blaster (or the like) should be used on the rear engine mount bolt prior to any work.
Performance:
Gave it a 5. These are a lot more robust than the .5’s. Expect engine vibration in both 4 & 6 cylinders with these. Tolerance level to vibration depends on the idividual. Obviously, there is more with the lighter 4 cylinder engine than the VR6. Engine movement is gone with them installed. These are a definite on the to-do list when going with big power upgrades.
Overall:
: 3Again, gave it a 4. I only use the plu mounts for my front lower/rear lower. I didnt like the amount of vibration adding the rear/upper gave to my car. In warm weather it was barely tolerable, below 50*F, forget it. Because of that, I run the .5 for the front/upper. Again, this was on a 4 cylinder….probably not as much of an issue with the VR6 crowd.
