Autotech produced this lightweight pulley to match up with their adjustable cam gear. Like the gear, it is also CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. The pulley weighs in at just over 7oz, less than half of the OEM pulley. The pulley bears the signature Autotech red anodized finished.

One Review of Autotech Intermediate Shaft Pulley (8v)

    Install:
I gave it a 3. If you know how to retime your engine, this is a cake install.

    Performance:
I give it a 2. For the price, its worth it. But unless you are super-sensitive to changes, you arent going to notice any difference. The weight difference between this LW gear and the stock gear is considerable though. Between this gear, a LW cam gear, and an AC delete, you would notice a bit of initial pep in lower gears and a snappier rev.

    Overall:
Again, a solid 3. One thing to **SERIOUSLY** be on the look out for is the timing belt wearing the metal away on the teeth. Being that its made of a softer metal than stock, it is prone to wear more. What happens is that the belt teeth gradually wear away at the gear teeth, reducing the teeth in size and creating very, very sharp edges. These sharp edges will eat your belt alive and you’ll be paying for a new head, valves and pistons! Just keep an eye on it (as anyone with engine work religiously does) and enjoy this bolt-on mod.
