ok, bit of an update,
So I lied about the engine, my mate is trying to clear cars so mine can get in!
Started installing my hood pins but used up my last grind disc so I couldn't finish the other side so then I got stuck into one headlight!
just went to bunnings and found some pvc tubing and a reducer, will post more pics up when I do the other one because my camera died . . .
motivation is a wonderfull thing!
more to come . . . |

It's the Hella E55 projector, many euro cars use them. not the best projector out there but the better ones are all Japanese and I wanted to stay euro, so yeh. and that's not to say they're shithouse either, just for the HID projector purists they aren't as good |

lol, thanks bro, i'm getting a little impatient lately to be honest; If it takes any longer I may end up hiring a crane and doing it myself in my crammed garage
anyways, slight update; I've painted the other headlight up and going to wait for it to fully cure before I attack it with the other projector retro and have also finished off the bonnet pins so now the bonnet can be painted with the yellow underneith and white ontop! no more ricey wanna-be-carbon black (i'd like to take this opertunity to say again that the bonnet came from a black jetta and I didn't have it painted  )
------
And a hecti update,
rims are primered though no more fluro, found out it's expensive and you need lots of it because it's so transparent  apparently the first coat of fluro you won't even see! rediculous; So it's been binned in favor of satin black center with Lamborghini orange and I still want a colour on the inside lip where the tyre stretches away from the rim so i'm going to try get some fluro pin stripe tape, that'll also prevent it from being scrated from the tyre shops . . .
p4c
Pics up this week once there's paint down! |

here's another updater:
I decided to do something with the front bumper to 1. allow more air to the radiator, and 2. to hopefully look a little more agro and cut away from the shaving and smoothing that all the other dubs are doing; So I came up with this . . .
From this...
To this...
Still got to work on it but you get the idea
and whilst picking through my junk I picked up my dash and immediatley wondered why the fuk a gutted dash can still weigh so much?!
So I peeled the vinyl off and found almost an inch thick of dense foam covering the whole dash surely 5mm would have been sufficient?
So out with the wire wheel!
After making a massive foam mess in the garage...
I got this! which weighs SO much less (so says my hand scales) and it now actually weighs like a gutted dash so am happy with it now. Note the gaps between the dash and panels now
Also had a chat with my mate and i'll be dropping off all the engine accessories and nuts n bolts I have to him, he'll then get the engine and fit it all up and then I tow the golfie to him to drop it in then have an exhaust fab'd up and then the wireing and computer sorted! Holly shit huh! soon we'll be turning the key |
