ok, perhaps not the update you want, but it's an update none the less
I need a daily steering wheel as the Nardi I have is suede and it'll get wrecked with my sweaty hands on the street as I won't be wearing gloves So the delema is, do I buy the leather version of the same wheel or do I use this wooden Nardi wheel that I kept from a previous ride?? It's quite rare I believe because it's the 330mm version, a lot of the wooden versions are like 350mm+ so I hung onto it. Should I run it? It's kinda funky huh . . .
........................
and for a another installment on the Hectiva, i've gotton bored of the meshies and want a bit more tuck to emphasize the lowlow so I picked up these 15" steelies for next to nothing, soooo.....
and the fitment i've meticulously worked out . . .
+ an undesclosed colour combo
i'll get to the golf eventually |

oh, I never formally introduced my daily! Meet the Ford Festiva dubbed the "Hectiva"
Laughable mods include:
- Half tinted tail lights
- rattle can rear bumper painted black strip (cuz it used to be blue)
- rattle canned side skirts and front skirt painted black (cuz I can't get;em off!)
- removed rear window wiper, spoiler and various blue stickers
- "joey modded" headlights
- removed front number plate
- Performance 14x6 rims (havn't got round to working out the offset yet)
- cambered up with shims -> -4deg camber and 14mm toe in rear and -1.5deg camber up front
- with 175/50 Sanwas that last a month on the rear :/
- Snap-on seat cover! dyno proven +13whp, amazing.
- oh and a slipping clutch!
and some quick snaps
and pics from some meets

Well a hecti update since i'm still waiting on the vr6 engine to be delivered . . .
Had one steelie made up to 15x8 +25 and then had a 185/45 nankang stretched onto it to check fitment; They'll be staggered with a +10 out back, so luckily I had a 15mm spacer here to fit up with the wheel to achieve the +10 fitment on the rear.
So here's how nicely my measurments worked out!
now off to get the others made up and painted + put the front down a bit more |

So they're off getting made up atm, hopefully by next weekend they'll be on! and i've decided i'm going with flat black centers, gloss fluro orange lips and the bit around the edge of the rim thats exposed due to the tyre stretch will be done in fluro yellowy-green lol I wonder how it's gunna look
here's an example of the orange and yellow
And the Hectiva has now been christened
and the golf should be getting towed next week for engine sexy time |
