After bolting on my other sideskirt last night I discovered that my front brake pads are about toasted. This didn’t bother me too much since I’ve had a set of Mk4 calipers with stainless lines sitting around in my garage for about six months now just waiting for me to do a brake upgrade, so now seems like as good a time as any. I had always said that the next time I redid my front brakes (and had 15″ wheels) that I would do the big brake upgrade.

So, last night I ordered new 11″ Corrado 4-lug rotors and a set of Mk4 VR6 pads. The rotors should arrive tomorrow and then I’ll be swapping everything out tomorrow night. I’m really fired up to finally get the 11″ discs and larger pads mounted on the car. The break-in testing period for the new pads should be fun. I probably ought to get all of the loose junk out of my trunk…
