The Wheels Are On!

Posted on 29 June 2007

I picked up CROWN’s 15×7 TSW Stealth wheels this afternoon and got them bolted on to the car. I was surprised that all four wheels/tires fit in my trunk. Actually, I wasn’t surprised, because the trunk is huge.

Here are some photos with the wheels on.

I’ve decided that the car looks kind of Saab-ish, but that’s ok with me. I like the wheels a lot. I swerved into the old Golf Galaxy parking lot on Merle Hay & Douglas so I could drive by all the windows and stare at my reflection…lol :D

I’m doing well. The car has slowly been coming along and I’m feeling pretty good about where it’s at right now. Wheels and suspension were the two main things I wanted to do and now they’re both done. What next? :D
I’ll have to check out your new site.

[...] When installing the 15×7 TSW Stealths on my car, it seemed like the centerbores didn’t match up exactly. I did some research online and found out the stock centerbore on a VW is 57.1mm, but all I could find on my wheels was that someone suggested they were 73mm. I couldn’t find anymore information more specific than that so I ended up ordering some 73-57.1 rings from Earl’s Tire downtown (great place to work with) for $6.36 for a set of four. [...]
