The Wheels Are On!

Posted on 29 June 2007

I picked up CROWN’s 15×7 TSW Stealth wheels this afternoon and got them bolted on to the car. I was surprised that all four wheels/tires fit in my trunk. Actually, I wasn’t surprised, because the trunk is huge.
Here are some photos with the wheels on.

I’ve decided that the car looks kind of Saab-ish, but that’s [...]

TSW Stealth Test Fit

Posted on 28 June 2007

Last night I went out and test fit the TSW Stealth wheels that are for sale locally. I knew the wheels were 15″ in diameter, but I had no idea what the width would be. I was expecting it to be 6 or 6.5. Upon further inspection of the wheels I discovered they are actually [...]

Spendy Wheels Out, Budget Wheels In

Posted on 27 June 2007

I’ve been looking at wheels for the Mk3 for a long time and right now I think it’s best that I table the idea. I would love to get some killer looking wheels, but they just aren’t in my budget right now. Plus, I have several other things I’d rather spend the money on right [...]

wagenwerks - “A Lot to Cary”

Over my lunch break today I was watching some of the wagenwerks videos on DVD. I hadn’t been to their website for awhile, so I decided to check it out. When I clicked through to the main page, I was welcomed by an intro for a brand new video they had filmed in conjunction with [...]

The ASA AR1

Posted on 06 June 2007

Sometimes (ok, a lot of the time) I can be very indecisive when it comes to parts for my car. I usually do loads of research on various parts and then try to make my decision. Lately, I have been looking at some ASA AR1wheels on TireRack. I found a few threads on Vortex about [...]

Mk3 Madness

Posted on 04 June 2007

The Mk3 crowd is unique….yet also crazy at the same time. It seems there is always something strange brewing in the Mk3 stable and these photos I just saw from Motorstadt IV are no exception. Feast your eyes on this black-and-white checkered beauty.

I can’t say I like it, but it’s definitely something out of [...]

Dubmodder launches “pay-only” version

Posted on 03 June 2007

Dubmodder has always been a cool site in my book but now they are making users pay to have access. There is still a “demo” version of the site but it features only a few colors and even fewer options in terms of parts.
I guess it’s all about business but after being a free site [...]

Beaverdale Brit/Euro Auto Fest (4th Annual)

Posted on 02 June 2007

Today was the 4th Annual Beaverdale Brit/Euro Auto Fest. I found out about it about a week ago at the Bi-State VW Garage Tour & Cruise. A couple of the Bi-State guys mentioned that it was taking place and that it usually drew a good variety of amazing cars. I started a thread about it [...]
